Thomas Paine wrote a pamphlet entitled Common Sense. He wrote his ideas expressing opinions on issues with the understanding that the average citizen would be able to comprehend the point he was making. The Rockpile is yet another try at putting forth common sense ideas before the reader with the hope that said ideas generate an intelligent discussion.
