Real Americans

One of the most striking impressions I gained while serving as a state representative was that Party, not State, not Country, was placed in a position of much higher importance than anything else. Even campaign donations (read bribes) took a subordinate position. One member of my caucus stated his primary purpose for being in office. “I want to #@!! them,” he said. He meant the Democrats. It did not matter if the legislation had any merit, not even if it saved the taxpayers money. Beating the enemy was all. This attitude also ran rampant throughout the other side of the aisle. Four of my bills were taken from me and given to the Democrat leadership because I was a member of the minority party and my bills were viewed as a violation of the cardinal rule: a freshman legislator shall not propose legislation good enough to pass, especially if it is better than their leaderships’ bills.

Many questions have been asked about why our government seems so inadequate in solving our ongoing problems. The simple answer is that the parties are too busy fighting each other to actually accomplish anything. Compounding that is the fact that they also don’t want to upset any of the big money people who typically donate to their campaigns, even if it is the right thing to do. Frankly, the leadership in our political parties has been bought and paid for. They will do everything they can do to keep the rabble rousers (read real representatives) out of office.

I have always believed that if an elected official becomes aware of a wrong being perpetrated, that official should take steps to stop it. I did so when I was approached by a group of casino employees upset over their tips being stolen from them by the casino owner. In researching this I found a state law that forbids the taking of tips. My own party attacked me over this, claiming I was violating the “free market”. The fact that a law was being broken was beside the point. After that I received a phone call from the current minority leader asking me to step down. In reality, the party in Nevada is owned my own party was contacted by those interests profiting off the theft of tip and told to remove an irritant. As properly purchased politicians they jumped to obey.

There is a difference between a real free market and the term as used by bought and paid for legislators. The free market as envisioned by the commerce clause as far back as 1887, link, was meant to prevent the formation of monopolies and to regulate certain types of trade so that it remained competitive. “[The Congress shall have Power] To regulate Commerce with foreign Nations, and among the several States, and with the Indian tribes.” It did not, as seen by the text itself, allow cheating, stealing, abuse of employees, slavery, etc…

Anyone who has ever watched the TV series The West Wing is familiar with the character Wesley. That character, throughout the series, consistently argues against allowing the Republicans to win anything, even if that win benefits the country. The unfortunate truth is that Wesley’s attitude prevails in American politics. Elected officials are Democrats, not Americans; Republicans, not Americans; and it doesn’t end there;

Ever hear of Affirmative Action? It is a nasty piece of legislation that legitimizes discrimination because someone’s ancestor may have been discriminated against by someone else in the past. Simply because one applicant may be the best qualified isn’t enough. They also have to be the right color, sex, politically correct micro demographic and so on. In essence it is Washington saying that in this case, two wrongs do make a right.  What it has actually done is keep the division going. In the US we do not have Americans in a variety of colors, we have African Americans, Mexican Americans, and so on…We are so busy creating and maintaining socio-political barriers to divide our populace that we have become antagonistic toward those who try to scale the wall. How dare we even suggest that we become one country with our own language, our own culture and our own laws? So what if every other country out there does so?

Like our government, our education system is in rapid decline not simply because we refuse to pay for the tools to do the job properly, but because we have surrendered to the politically correct forces who insist on maintaining the walls. The school board in my area has members who actively fight against those methods proven to work in the classroom because those methods are not politically popular with their party leadership.

The Democrat Party will not support anything that upsets the fanatical left. As a result, the party of John F. Kennedy seems to support international terrorism, the killing of healthy, living babies via partial birth abortion, the granting of amnesty to the vilest of serial killers, the removal of personal responsibility regardless of the action or the harm it causes others, the removal of any right that promotes self-reliance, the destruction of heterosexual marriage and the core family unit, the elimination of Israel as a state, and the dissolution of America as a sovereign nation. Too many people have forgotten that it was the Democrat party that went to war to retain the right to keep slaves, not the Republicans.

However, my own party is not populated with saints. By no means; the Republican Party, the party of Lincoln and Reagan has metastasized into an organization that openly supports massive corporate theft, human trafficking, the resurgence of plantation style slavery, the elimination of small business and the destruction of effective public education. Many times I have witnessed bills that promoted real free market enterprise quashed, not because the Democrats objected but because those owning the GOP did not want their monopoly inconvenienced. A bill going after the human trafficking hidden behind the massage parlor industry was attacked equally by a well know civil liberties group and the GOP leadership. The GOP called it an infringement upon business. Seems the women being abused didn’t matter as long as a profit was being made. The civil liberties folks simply were interested in collecting their $600 and hour. There was no mention made of the civil liberties of the enslaved women.

Either way we lose if we continue to nominate people like McCain and Romney. Men like that, men who will go along simply to get along and maintain the status quo are possibly even a greater danger to our country that that posed by the current administration because they will not have the courage to begin the process of bringing America back to its roots. Unfortunately the past few elections have shown that the American voter is a creature of emotion rather than intellect. They will vote a party out of office only when they have been personally affected by that party’s policies in a negative fashion, or have been convinced by clever media spin that such as happened. Far too many voters in this country do not care to do the research necessary to understand the issues and the backgrounds of those running for office.

If this situation does not change we may be the last generation who remembers a truly free America simply because the average American voter no longer cares who runs their party.

Just How Stupid Are We?

In their unending quest to prove that they are more equal than conservatives, the left have established the talking point of calling anyone who disagrees with their anointed king “racist”, and if that dissenter happens to be black, “Oreo”, or the Bill Cosby name for Clarence Thomas, “Brother Light”. The assertion is that there can only be one political world view for anyone wearing a dark melanin on their epidermis. For the Democrat readers, that means a dark skin tone. I have shocking news for the liberals; you can disagree with Obama and not be racist. In fact, it would be un-American to not disagree once in a while.

The recent news of the Obama Administration actually telling a private business who they can have as a boss is an example of just how far to the left this country has swerved. If this had happened during the fifties, an impeachment trial would now be an ongoing event. What is the most dismaying part of this drama is the sanguine attitude of the GOP regarding the President’s illegal action. Perhaps none of them have read the constitution lately. Just how stupid have we become?

That brings me to my core point. Would you be shocked to find that many who call themselves conservative are actually more liberal than most Democrats? No, I am not writing hyperbole to prove a point. Sadly, I am writing actual fact.

The country of Columbia was at one time the murder capital of the world. A few years ago they elected a non-politician/non-soldier to be their president. This new leader came from an education background and immediately moved to change the way things were done in his country. Educational spending went from a tiny percentage of the gross to 40%. The few elite private schools now had real competition and that competition had all the tools the private schools used to consider theirs alone. Columbia went from murder capital of the world to one of the safest countries per capita in the world. What about the social services, the military? They found that an educated populace becomes more self-reliant and more willing to be a part of the country’s production rather than a drain. What a concept! That brings us to our collective stupidity/

Here in the U.S., we spend about 1% of that 40%…and we complain about doing that. Many in the GOP consider the teaching profession an enemy, placing them ahead of Islamic Terrorism in the list. Some have even gone so far as to try to logically prove the necessity of a dependant class as an important portion of America’s labor force. In that, they are marching lock step with the extreme left in this country. They want, in essence, to have their cake and eat it too. When I was in State Government, I had a fellow Assemblyman tell me that my bill to curtail illegal immigration would bankrupt the state. This same Assemblyman had, a few days before, lauded Oklahoma and Arizona for passing similar legislation.

The hypocrisy taps are running wide open. During his term, President George Bush Jr. trumpeted his “doing the jobs American’s won’t do” tripe. Newspaper publishers in my state, on one hand, decry the cost of illegals, while using them in their own printing facilities as a cost-saver. Our black messiah, Barrack Obama, chides the same industry he forced, as a member of ACORN, to issue unsafe loans, for issuing those loans. Here in Nevada we had a governor who called for more emphasis on vocational education, and then tried to cut the education budget in his state, in some cases by nearly 50%.

It is becoming politically correct to expect certain demographics in this country to act as if everyone else owes them a living. This means that if someone rises up and objects to a portion of their income being taken away to pay for yet another baby born into poverty, they are not just branded greedy, they may even be breaking federal law…by the Obama/Pelosi standard, and the mass media supports that view.

During this last school year I had the opportunity to observe a number of classrooms in action. This particular school has a student population roughly 50% poor black to poor Hispanic and a good portion of those Hispanics are not in this country legally. What is remarkable is the attitude of a significant number of the black students, they are not only unmotivated to learn, but they occasionally become verbally abusive when a teacher attempts to get them to understand a concept outside of their tiny little welfare world. When questioned on their attitude the normal response is, “It’s a black thing.” Where did this come from?

Over the years the liberals in government have been working at destroying free America. One of their weapons in their revolution is to not just create but to grow the dependent class. When an entire generation in this country has been raised to believe that they are being a traitor to their race, Doctor King’s dream has not only been supplanted, it has been made into an enemy. How many times have we seen young black men and women looking into the camera with dead, droopy eyes that contain no hope whatsoever? How many times have we heard them speak in barely intelligible sentences? It is not a “black thing” it is the result of buying into what has amounted to cultural terrorism by the liberal Democrats.

Can America afford to do what Columbia did? Of course we can. Will we? Not with our current leaders. The Democrats love the current result and the Republicans have bought into the idea that teachers are their enemy. We don’t have a single political leader with even a microbial amount of courage. Typically the voters go along with the media talking heads and prevent the courageous from being elected. They let the liberals do their research for them. That is not to say we don’t have office holders with courage. In fact, we do have some politicians with courage to spare in spite of the media, but in Washington, they are the ones issued the basement offices and we usually get rid of them in the next election before they can affect any change.

That is how stupid we are.

Ayatollah Obama

The Ayatollahs of Iran consider any individual critical of the way they appointed “Adiminawhackjob” to a second term an enemy of the state. In Turkey, anyone critical of the ways things are done is jailed for offending “Turkishness”. Here in the US, we now have an administration that is acting more and more like its Middle Eastern friends than what our founding fathers envisioned.

Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi has gone as far as comparing critics of the healthcare plan to Nazis. Other members of the Democrat leadership have called those who don’t trust the plan “shrill”, and “fringe group fanatics”.  News organizations, supposedly nonpartisan, have affixed the labels of “small mobs” and “rabid right-wingers” to those with the temerity to ask their representatives if they even bothered to read the bill. Even a GOP candidate for the 2012 campaign has put his own version of Obamacare into place, Mitt Romney.

Are these people merely members of shrill fringe groups and other bits of minority flotsam the administration should ignore for the good of the country? George Pucine of Las Vegas was able to get this bit of statistical evidence to the contrary past the usually left-leaning guardians at the Las Vegas Review Journal:

-- Quinnipiac poll: Three out of four Americans don't believe government-run health care will be deficit-neutral and 59 percent of Americans are against health care reform if the measure is supported by only the Democrats.

-- Gallup poll: Sixty-three percent say the president's plan will worsen their personal medical care.

-- National Public Radio poll: Forty-seven percent oppose Obama's plan and 42 percent support it.

-- New York Times/CBS poll: Seven-seven percent of Americans fear costs will increase under government-run health care.

-- Time poll: Fifty-six percent fear losing freedom to choose their own doctor/plan under government-run health care.

Wall Street Journal/NBC News poll: Forty-two percent say Barack Obama's plan is a "bad idea" vs. 36 percent saying it's a "good idea."

I don’t know about you, but the above numbers say majority, not minority. The problem is Pelosi and her Democrat fellows do not believe in representing the majority. They have an agenda and it is being followed to the letter and any who swerve from the orthodoxy will be punished. Remember Joe Lieberman and his one tiny slip? He had the temerity to disagree with the liberal orthodoxy on the Iraq war and was summarily kicked out of the party.

Can any one remember who was President before Jimmy Carter?  Not many do. Most think it was Nixon, but the answer is Gerald Ford, a man most remembered for being a bit clumsy. This is because Ford did almost nothing where the economy was concerned. It was ok, not good, just ok. The problem with that is that a mayonnaise economy allowed the election of a Jimmy Carter. You would think that the American people would learn from history. Unfortunately, we never do. Carter’s policies, eerily similar to Obama’s, produced the worst economy since the great depression. Taxes were raised to the point that an affordable mortgage was nearly impossible to obtain. Small businesses went out of business faster than they opened. Interest rates skyrocketed to over 20% and the price of gold hovered around $1000 per ounce. Sound familiar?

Brian Greenspun, the publisher of the Las Vegas Sun recently lamented in an editorial that it was terrible that Nevada did not adopt the tax policies of more
progressive” states like Massachusetts, Connecticut, California and others. Let’s see…checking on the economies of those “progressive” states, they appear to be progressing right into the toilet. California, our neighbor to the west has progressed into bankruptcy and a recent ad campaign luring small business from California to tax-backwards Nevada appears to be working better than anyone thought it would.  Texas, on the other hand, through the leadership of a “gasp” Republican Governor, Rick Perry, produced 38% of all the jobs in America while Obama was blaming Bush Jr. for the problem Obama’s policies caused.

Socialism never generates public wealth. It never has and it never will. After Jimmy Carter came a true conservative, not the lie that Democrats push, Ronald Regan. Reagan systematically dismantled Carter’s metastasized bureaucracy and began using policies that were time-tested. Ignoring the shrill screams from the left that he would be throwing the elderly and the sick onto the street, he cut taxes and encouraged business to expand. The elderly got a better deal and the sick got cheaper healthcare. Ignoring the rabid left-wingers, he went after the Soviet Union and won, despite the claims that such aggressiveness would trigger World War III. Reagan’s policies generated an economy that set a record that still holds. It was the most robust economy we have experienced in the last seven administrations. This is based on US statistical data, so why is the Obama Administration hell bent on duplicating Carter’s mistakes? The answer is not economics, it is power. Remember, Reagan had to deal with a Democrat-controlled Congress under the leadership of Tip O’Neil, a proven socialist. In spite of everything O’Neil and his socialist brethren tried to do to derail Reagan’s vision, the so-called actor won. That is why he is the most hated conservative leader in history…that is until Sarah Palin takes the reins.

Just as our major news outlets have risen to the defense of Obama’s policies and have attacked the concerns of the American people, so has the administration grown in its arrogance. Why would Obama feel so comfortable issuing the threat that his administration would “hit back twice as hard” at anyone broadcasting a criticism of his policies? Does he really believe that the news is his to control? Perhaps it is.

A little known story surfaced a while ago and was quickly pulled. ABC turned the control of its reporting of White House news over to the Obama Administration. The last time something like this happened it was in Iran. Remember, if you can control the news that is one domino tipped over, if you can control the peoples’ access to healthcare…that is another. Several states already consider the second amendment more of an inconvenience than a mandate.  The appointment of Sottomeyer to the Supreme Court adds another nail in that coffin. The last domino to fall will be the food supply, and based on several reports, Obama is already working on that one. Consider his wife’s healthy diets message, usually delivered after she’s downed a few platters of fried chicken and rib tips. The insistence from the Democrat legal wing that the Commerce Clause gives the administration to mandate what people will and will not buy is a very telling sign.

The US Constitution is very specific in what and what cannot be mandated by the government. There are only 18 enumerated powers given to the feds. Everything else is supposed to be left to the states. It seems only Ayatollah Obama and his ruling council of Democrat Imams are unable to grasp that.

The Kenyan Transcript

It doesn’t take the Obama administration long to pull a cover up. Just a few days after my column asking whether or not Should Obama Step Down, the transcript of the Kenyan Parliament for March 25th, 2010 was scrubbed from the Kenyan Parliament site. Was there collusion between Washington and Kenya?  If you think anyone is going to truthfully answer that question you are dumber than the liberals think you are.

I had some folks question the veracity of my column because they could not find the proof. Liberals and those who are beginning to mature out of liberalism are quick to jump on any appearance of falsehood from those they have automatically distrusted for so long. Think of this, please; when push came to shove in the records department, who offered up proof and who vacillated? I’ll give you a hint, Democrat versus Republican, vacillation versus honesty. The Democrat wins the liar battle over 75% of the time. Sure, the GOP is chock full of liars, but the wily donkey is a master at that craft where the elephant is a mere apprentice.

In searching for the lost transcript I came across a number of forums where it was being discussed. The liberals in those forums either refused to believe the assertion or discounted it outright. A few even went so far as to consider the US Constitution invalid where “social progress” was concerned. That will give you some insight into the liberal frame of mind. We have people in our country who march for “world peace”, stand candlelight vigils outside of prisons where a torturer of children is being executed, loudly decry the supposed disenfranchisement of indigenous peoples and all the while they calmly consider the eventual dissolution of the only country where any opinion can truly be uninhibited as right and proper because they disagree with the document that gives them that right.

Remember, Obama’s buddy and mentor, Bill Ayers at one time calmly discussed the killing of millions to solidify his world view. He has never recanted that idea, which means in his mind…and in Obama’s, it is still valid. The stifling of a computer archive is nothing compared to that.

Well, as one person wisely said, “Once a document is put out into the web it is there forever”.  I found the file and I have given a copy of the PDF to Canada Free Press so if anyone wants it they can simply ask.

The liberals love to equate conservatives with Nazis, but who tends to do the computer age’s version of book burning?

When it comes time to vote, vote for freedom of thought. Vote conservative.

A Conservative Manifesto

Since the shellacking the liberals received at the hands of both the GOP and the Tea Party last November, the media has been bulging with stories, articles and columns regarding the potential electoral disaster facing the Democrats in the upcoming 2012 election cycle. Even the Las Vegas Sun, a liberal rag in my home town,  has carried a column by the New York Times offering a serious warning to the Democrat establishment that they ignore the Tea Party at their own peril. The one overriding point missing from all of these and practically every other piece written by the Mainstream Media since the days of George Bush Senior is, just what a conservative is.

From MSNBC on, every liberal elite outlet sniffs with distain at the very mention of the word “conservative”. They sip their overpriced chardonnay as they nibble truffle-enhanced Pâté de foie gras while declaring in their upper class accents that conservatism is out of step with everyday America. It is not surprising that even now these pseudo intellectuals consider the elections in the Democrat strongholds of Virginia, New Jersey and Massachusetts to be aberrations. The likes of Wolf Blitzer, Chris Matthews, Andrea Mitchell, Lawrence O’Donnel and Norah O’Donnell will never get it. Miss O’Donnell even went so far as to verbally attack a young girl for being in line at a Sarah Palin book signing. You can check this link if it is still active: http://friskaliberal.wordpress.com/2009/11/19/msnbc-attacks-young-girl-at-sarah-palin-book-signing/

The left is falling apart. Their anger and hatred, and frankly, their fear of a conservative ascendancy have boiled over. Many consider the Tea Party Movement to be the chief villain in this drama.

One sad part of all this is that far too many in the GOP leadership also don’t get it. All too often I hear the same dismissive tones coming from Republican leadership with regard to the Tea Party movement as I do from the Democrats, and not only that, just like the Democrats many so-called leaders within the GOP actively work to remove their own colleagues from office if that colleague will not work with them in corruption. How do I know this? I was one of those targeted for being “too honest”; check out my profile. During the past election cycle we had the Republicans for Reid, a group formed simply because Sharon Angle did the unforgivable by trouncing their anointed candidate, past state party chair Sue Lowden. Now the good Assemblywoman is a household name and not necessarily in a good way. That is how sad things have gotten.

What today’s conservatives need is a manifesto, a list of those characteristics and policies that define what a conservative is. Simply being against taxes is not enough. I know of too many in my own party who use that simplistic measurement and then blithely vote to continue stealing from the taxpayer by raising fees for no other cause than their own enrichment.

The first item in this new Conservative Manifesto should be Constitutional Honesty. Right now the liberal elite are outraged over a correct decision by the Supreme Court to remove the McCain-Feingold stricture on corporations being able to donate to political races and an even more recent decision to give corporations the same free speech rights as individuals. Unfortunately, enough Republicans are also outraged to be worrisome. Whether you chose to accept it or not, corporations are made up of people. Simply because they band together they should not have to give up their civil rights.

The Constitution was written by men (advised by a number of very strong women) who knew first hand what it felt like to live under the very type of system the liberal elite would love to see enacted in this country. Again, whether or not they like it, the constitution gives us the right to own any type of firearm we choose. Nowhere does it limit that choice. If you don’t like it, use the established route to change the Constitution. If that is thought to be too much trouble, too bad.

That document gives us the right to voice nonviolent opinion, worship wherever we choose, even if it is in a school or city hall, disagree with the President, even if he is a mulatto, and to prosper in our business, even if we become wealthy doing so. What it does not do is allow us to lie, cheat and steal our way to wealth or power, and that is where the real conservatives are separated from the phonies. NeoCon is another term for phony. Bush Jr was a neocon just like Daddy Bush. Reagan was a true conservative. A NeoCon believes corruption is good as long as their frat brothers are involved. A true conservative will blow the whistle because it is the right thing to do.

The second item is US Sovereignty. If you want to send a liberal right off the deep end, suggest that the United States of America adopt the same type of rules considered a matter of course by most countries (several of which the liberal considers far more enlightened than the US); a national language and mandatory expulsion of illegal aliens. Sweden does this and because they are socialist they are completely accepted by the mushy-brained set. (Mushy-Brained means liberal. The terms are interchangeable)

Let US sovereignty even be mentioned by a US representative and that poor sap is being hung in media effigy that day. By the way, were you aware that Mexico is currently constructing a wall on its southern border? Where is the liberal outrage?

We have a right to secure borders just as our southern neighbor does, and we have a right to our own language, US English. Legal citizens of the US have the right to expect to be treated better than lawbreakers. Citizens of this country are the ones paying the bills and as the bill-payer they deserve to have the first place in the line. Of course, this attitude is considered to be hateful and racist by the liberal elite. The attitude of the true conservative toward them should be this, if you don’t like it; leave. If you want to stay, obey the law. By the way, the US has never shot someone attempting to leave our country legally.

Third is the sanctity of innocent life. Science today has reached the point where any honest biologist would have to admit that an unborn child in the womb of a human mother is an identifiably separate human life. Sure, it may be entirely dependant upon the mother for continued existence and growth, but that in no way invalidates the growing life’s individuality. This is simple, proven science and yet it is another unbending hot button for the liberal. The news is replete with stories of protesters crowding together outside the gate of a prison holding candlelight vigils on the eve of the execution of a convicted murderer. There is no consideration with these people as to how vile the committed crime may have been. These 10 watt intellects are filled with compassion for the perceived victim of the state over and above any innocent life. However, this group has nothing to say about the thousands executed by Islamic states. They could not care any less about the millions executed by every communist dictator since Lenin, nor do they breathe a single syllable of regret for any of the children murdered by the assorted Middle Eastern suicide-killers. What is the greatest hypocrisy of all, you ask? They celebrate every time an unborn child is murdered by a physician while that physician is busy violating his or her Hippocratic Oath. To quote Wilkow, “Hypocrisy is like flatulence, you never notice your own.”

An important note on this; abortion is currently legal. It may be horribly, morally wrong, but it is still legal. That being said, the entire pro-abortion stance is hypocritical on its face and the hypocrisy continues to its core. An innocent human life is taken in every case and that has to be admitted. A true conservative would agree. A true conservative defends innocent life, whether it be in the womb or not. Politics is not given a single place in this decision. If that defense costs a position of power, so be it. If it costs you money, too bad, what is right is right and any argument to the contrary is wrong on its face. Some prices are simply too high to pay.

Fourth is the economy. That’s right; a real conservative does not place money at the pinnacle, which is the NeoCon stance. A real conservative understands that certain principles are more important than the accumulation of wealth. With that being said, the economy holds a solid place within the top 5 because a real conservative also understands that in order to be a productive citizen, people need real jobs, not welfare. The liberal elite consider most employers to be the enemy, unless that employer happens to employ them or gives huge campaign contributions to avowed socialists like Obama, Pelosi or Reid. Common sense dictates that in order to stimulate an economy, the best thing a government can do is get out of the way and allow business to grow. The second best thing is to allow competition to be the rule within the marketplace. Of course there is a problem here; not one honest thinker can ever ascribe common sense to the liberal mind. History has more examples of the liberal experiment destroying an economy than it has of wars causing death. All right, some hyperbole there, but the point stands. Liberalism has never grown an economy…ever, and yet the mushy-brained continue to insist that their way will work…this time. I do hope you all know the definition of insanity.

Fifth on this list, is personal freedom. The liberal believes that such a right only applies to them and those groups they champion: terrorists, communists, Marxists, baby killers, mass murderers, traitors and so on. No, personal freedom belongs to every legal citizen within this country. It is not and should not be a right extended to anyone who belongs to or supports a group whose aim is to harm those citizens, nor should it be extended to those who have broken our immigration laws. For far too long our freedoms have been chipped away by Washington elites who believe they know better how to lead our lives than we do. Because of this belief we have become smothered by a blanket of laws that have no reason for existing other than to give careers to people incapable of competing in the free market. Every single one of the laws governing what kind of car you can drive, laws telling you to dress like a Star Wars Storm Trooper before you can ride a bike, laws telling you what kind of food you can eat, and so on into infinity, should be abolished in favor of one simple statute; if you do something stupid to yourself, you are responsible for any costs you incur. If your stupidity causes harm to someone else, you pay through the nose, regardless your position or power; if this causes some lawyers to get an honest job…again, too bad.

Sixth is intellectual honesty. The discussion of global warming has its place in the conservative doctrine just as do many other scientific and educational issues. A real conservative agrees with real science. We know that Darwinism, Creationism and Intelligent Design, as far as science is concerned, are all theories. If you call evolution a scientific fact, you are wrong. Evolution, the way it is taught, can no more be proven by science than the existence of God. If you disagree, show me the missing link. Science is not faith and faith is not science. A real conservative is able to live with both. Global warming has not only not been proven, but it has been revealed as false far too many times for the honest to ignore. Global temperatures have actually gone down since the high point in the early 1990’s and several highly reputable climatologists believe that the earth may be entering another cooling period similar to that which caused the mini ice age back in Napoleon’s day. But the validation of this theory could cost Al Gore money, and the liberal elite cannot let that happen. They even have the gall to call those who disabuse the global warming nonsense as “unpatriotic”. What they cannot do is dispute the educational and research records of the men and women brave enough to publish scientific truth.

Seventh is extremism. As currently defined, most Americans are not extremists; the liberal elite are excluded from that list, “most Americans” because by constitutional definition a liberal elitist cannot be a real American. Their own extremism makes true active citizenship impossible. The ongoing knock against the Tea Party Movement is that of extremism, and to continue the honesty, the movement has welcomed some extremists with open arms. The only extreme the true conservative should embrace is an extreme love and respect for the founding documents of this country, the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution of the United State of America, and for the ideals that brought those documents into being. That is what defines a real American.
